New Updates – April 2013

Summary of updates.

We have introduced commenting feature for the user uploaded entries into the contest. This feature would be available for the contests created on and  after February 19, 2013. Now users can not only vote but also comment on the entries. Note that users have to authorize the app (or signup in case of a standalone) in order to leave a comment. 

To enable this feature you need to set the Enable Comments to Yes under Comments Settings in Timeline & Voting tab.

The comments box would be shown under the entry when viewing the entry, you can type in your comment and click Submit.

Note that Voting Settings and Comments Settings are independent of each other. You can turn off Voting and still have Comments turned on.

You can turn on Prescreening for Comments, to select the comments that you want to be shown. You can find Prescreen Comments under Moderate tab. 

You can Approve the comments or Invalidate them. The approved comments would be moved to Valid Comments section under Moderate tab and would be displayed under the entry when viewing the entry. Invalidated comments would be moved to Invalid Comments section under Moderate tab and would not be displayed to the users when viewing the entry. If you turn off the Prescreen for comments all the comments would be displayed under the entry as they would be treated as approved by default.
